"Write down all your inner struggles, your setbacks and successes, and grant them eternal life. This way your very essence, the personality of your soul, your spiritual attainments, your life's inner treasures, will live on forever in the lives of your spiritual heirs as generations come and go." - Rav Kalonoymus Kalman Sharpira zt"l, the Piaseczno Rebbe from Tzav V'Ziruz (The Rebbe's personal diary)

Odd encounters

Since Shabbos I have had some "odd" encounters with people, both in person and electronically.

I wish it could blame it on a full-moon or something in the water. All in all, I am drained and bewildered.

I am left only looking at myself in a mirror and asking, "What can I do to speed up and not delay Moshiach?"

  1. I meet odd people on a daily basis. You get used to it after a while.

    1. Thanks, Garnel.
I just think that if I could hear the way I talk to others, I'd think twice. I'm not even going to address other people who say things to me.

  3. I'm a magnet for "strange" and "weird" people, it seems. It's the 'normals' I have difficulty with most of the time.

I know that since getting married I have become more conscious about how I sound when talking to people. Thankfully my wife points it out to me and we work on it...

  4. If you're meeting resistance, that could be a sign that you're doing the right thing!

  5. Thank you all for your comments.
As the Baal Shem Tov teaches, any deficiency we see in others is a reflection of that within ourselves.
